Maintaining relationships, being a parent and getting all you want out of life can be challenging. Finding balance can be the difference between happiness and dysfunction. In my practice, I work with you to help develop creative strategies for dealing with challenging life issues.
After graduating from Barnard College, Columbia University with a Bachelors in psychology and education, I attended George Washington University where I received a Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling. I am both a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and a board certified art therapist (ATR-BC). My work as an intern at Sheppard Pratt working with addictions, an individual and family therapist at Head Start in Baltimore City, and now in private practice in the DC metropolitan area have provided me with a broad range of experiences to provide high quality, trauma informed and compassionate mental health services.
In addition to talk therapy, art therapy may provide additional support for some of my clients, especially when navigating addictions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. In a safe environment, we can work together to repair relationships, understand patterns of behavior, and open your eyes to new possibilities. Additionally, my therapy dog Cooper, can be with seen virtually as he is often roaming in and out of my office.
